Saničani fishpond reorganization plan approved by creditors

The creditors' assembly has approved a reorganization plan for the Saničani fishpond (Ribnjak Saničani), which aims to settle all creditors in full. Bankruptcy administrator Vojo Pavičić stated that the plan was accepted by a majority vote, despite opposition from the former majority owner and one creditor with smaller claims.

The next step involves a 30-day procedure for the District Commercial Court to confirm the bankruptcy plan. Pavičić expects the handover process to be completed by the end of the year once the court's decision becomes final.

Previously, the Prijedor City Assembly decided to establish the company 'Hidrosistem Saničani' to manage the fishpond system, which covers more than 1,300 hectares. The Government of Republika Srpska has provided 3,827,000 KM to the city for this purpose, funds which will be transferred to the newly established company to resume operations.
