Sanitary infrastructure failures reported in Versalles and Santa Inés

Residents and business owners in the Versalles neighborhood are demanding a permanent solution to recurring sewage and drainage collapses. During the rainy season, the sanitary network in streets such as Niza, Havre, and Lisboa fails, causing wastewater to overflow into public roads. This creates health risks and strong odors, impacting both local families and economic activity. Community members have called on Seapal and municipal public works departments to move beyond temporary cleaning and instead perform a comprehensive diagnosis and pipe replacement to accommodate the area's recent growth.

In the Santa Inés sector of Valencia, residents are facing similar crises with overflowing sewers and deteriorating streets. Neighbors report that several manholes have been blocked for over 15 days, causing sewage to flood homes and forcing residents to alter their daily lives due to unbearable odors. While community leaders have attempted to coordinate with Hidrocentro, residents are still waiting for the utility company to authorize and perform the necessary repairs to the main pipeline and the surrounding network.
