Minister Bojinovska demands apology from SDSM over Rudnap Group allegations
North Macedonia’s Minister of Energy, Sanja Bojinovska, has demanded a public apology from the opposition SDSM within 24 hours, threatening legal action if the party does not retract its allegations. The dispute centers on claims by SDSM that Bojinovska has ties to the Rudnap Group and its involvement in a €13.2 million meter procurement contract by EVN Macedonia from the Serbian company METER&CONTROL.
Bojinovska categorically denies any business or private relationship with Rudnap Group for over 12 years. She stated that the procurement was conducted independently by EVN as a private company and characterized the accusations as an attempt at political discredit without evidence. She emphasized that she will use all legal mechanisms to protect her professional integrity.
In response, SDSM President Venko Filipce stated the party will not apologize, asserting that their claims are based on official documentation. Filipce cited records indicating Bojinovska served as a manager for Rudnap Bulgaria and was identified in documentation for a Rudnap entity in Zagreb. He further questioned her interests, citing her previous professional engagements and her possession of a Bulgarian passport.
