Sanjay Nirupam criticizes opposition over Jharkhand student protests

Shiv Sena spokesperson Sanjay Nirupam has accused the opposition, specifically the Congress party, of maintaining double standards regarding student protests. He noted that while the opposition frequently challenges the central government over issues like paper leaks and student movements at Jantar Mantar, they have allegedly ignored ongoing protests in Jharkhand.

In Jharkhand, students have been conducting street protests and hunger strikes for several weeks regarding alleged irregularities in competitive examinations and government recruitment processes. Nirupam criticized the state government's response, citing the use of lathi charges and tear gas against demonstrators instead of engaging in dialogue.

He called for the government to address allegations of nepotism and examination malpractice by meeting with students. Furthermore, he suggested that authorities should consider demands for a CBI investigation and action against officials associated with the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC).
