Sanjay Raut blames Amit Shah for escalation of Jantar Mantar protests

Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for offering forgiveness to student protesters at Jantar Mantar, arguing the youths had not asked for it and remained determined to continue their fight. Raut also highlighted the ongoing Ram Mandir donation theft investigation, calling the disappearance of roughly ₹550 crore a serious matter of faith.

In a separate column, Raut accused Home Minister Amit Shah of deliberately allowing the Jantar Mantar protests to intensify, saying Shah’s silence helped fuel the unrest that led to the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Raut suggested Shah was positioning himself as Modi’s potential deputy, building a personal faction within the BJP.

Both remarks were made amid heightened political tension over the student demonstrations and the Ram Mandir funding controversy.
