Sanjay Raut criticizes BJP leadership ahead of INDIA bloc rally

Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut has criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah as the INDIA bloc prepares for a large-scale protest at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi. Raut called for a regime change and defended constitutional democracy, alleging that the Election Commission of India is functioning under pressure from the ruling government.

Addressing concerns regarding potential business disruptions caused by the demonstration, Raut dismissed the impact on traders, stating that the only two traders in the country are Modi and Shah. He asserted that the movement represents the strength of the nation and predicted that citizens would bypass barricades to participate in the rally.

Separately, Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray noted that communication between his party and the BJP has remained severed since 2019. Speaking at a book launch for Raut, Thackeray addressed recent comments from Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis regarding their lack of contact following the split of the undivided Shiv Sena.
