Sanjay Singh offers Rs. 1 lakh reward to find missing UP schools

Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh has announced a reward of Rs. 1 lakh, to be paid from his own salary, for anyone who can locate five specific government primary schools in the Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh.

The schools in question—Talgar Tola, Misirpur, Kathan Arsani, Urdu Bazaar, and Bagh Hashim—are listed as active on the Unified District Information System for Education (UDISE Plus) portal. However, Singh claims these institutions do not physically exist, noting a total absence of buildings, teachers, students, or infrastructure.

Singh has called for a government investigation into why these schools remain recorded as operational in official databases despite being non-existent on the ground. Additionally, he condemned the legal action taken against AAP's Uttar Pradesh chief, Pankaj Singh, following the release of a video documenting a dilapidated school in Noida.
