Sanjeev Mukhiya confesses to involvement in multiple paper leak scandals

Sanjeev Mukhiya, a suspected paper leak operative, has confessed to his involvement in several major examination scandals during interrogation by the Economic Offences Unit (EOU). According to reports, Mukhiya admitted to orchestrating the leak of the 2017 NEET exam, the 2023 CSBC Constable recruitment exam, and the BPSC TRE-3 teacher recruitment exam.

During his remand interrogation, Mukhiya reportedly detailed the operations of his ‘solver gang’ network, including financial transactions and the identities of key collaborators. The EOU is currently using these disclosures to map the broader network and understand the methods used to distribute leaked question papers to candidates.

While Mukhiya was previously given a clean chit by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) regarding the NEET-UG 2024 paper leak case due to a lack of evidence, his recent admissions to the EOU pertain to older and different examination cycles. Law enforcement agencies are continuing raids to apprehend other members of the syndicate.
