Sanko Gakuen hosts student festival for 5,500 students in Tokyo
Sanko Gakuen held the Tokyo Omiya District Sanko Festival 2026 on September 15, 2026, at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium. The event brought together approximately 5,500 students from 16 vocational schools across the Tokyo and Omiya regions.
Under the theme of “Kizuna” (Bonds), the festival was primarily organized by a student executive committee of about 300 members who had been preparing since April. The event featured six competitions, including a new student-designed activity called “Oodama Okuri,” as well as performances from seven different schools. Students were divided into four color-coded teams: red, green, yellow, and blue, with the yellow team ultimately winning the overall championship.
The festival aimed to foster collaboration and leadership by allowing students to work across school, grade, and class boundaries. The event was supported by 30 corporate sponsors.
