Sanko Gakuen students to attempt Guinness World Record in Osaka

Sanko Gakuen will host the 2026 Kansai District Sanko Festival on September 17, 2026, at Asue Arena Osaka. Approximately 4,000 students from nine vocational schools in the Kansai region will participate in the event.

A central highlight of the festival will be an attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the ‘Most people catching confetti simultaneously’. To meet the official guidelines, participants must catch at least one piece of confetti released at a signal, with monitors verifying the results.

The festival aims to foster leadership and cooperation among students by having them work together across different schools and grade levels. The event includes various competitions, performances, and design activities that students prepare for over a five-month period.
