Sano City and Chikuhoku Village launch 2026 stamp rally tourism programs

Sano City in Tochigi Prefecture will run the “Sano City Murazukuri Soba Stamp Rally” from August 1 to November 29, 2026. The event involves four rural restaurants where participants can collect stamps via QR codes on smartphones or paper sheets. A lottery will award 170 winners with local products such as strawberries, rice, tomatoes and discount vouchers.

Chikuhoku Village in Nagano Prefecture will hold the “Chikuhoku Time Travel Stamp Rally” from July 25 to October 25, 2026. Using the tourism app “furari,” visitors can visit 17 checkpoints, answer quizzes and gather stamps. Prizes include strawberry‑farm tickets, hot‑spring vouchers, character goods and other local items.
