Sanofi and Boston Scientific unveil new medical innovations at China's Import Expo
The ninth China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai is counting down 100 days to its opening. The trade fair, themed “New Era, Shared Future,” will host exhibitors from 99 countries and over 1,200 companies across more than 340,000 m².
At the medical devices and pharmaceuticals pavilion, Sanofi and Boston Scientific are highlighting breakthrough products. Sanofi will present the first‑in‑class drug Anxu® (a JAK/ROCK dual‑target inhibitor for myelofibrosis) which it secured global development rights for through a partnership with Chinese biotech Zai Lab. Boston Scientific will showcase a suite of minimally invasive technologies, including next‑generation intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) systems, AI‑assisted cardiac devices, and advanced neuro‑stimulation tools, emphasizing its Shanghai‑based manufacturing and R&D hub.
Both companies view the CIIE as a platform to accelerate the transition of innovations from exhibition to clinical use, deepen investment in the Chinese market, and foster cross‑border collaboration in the rapidly growing Chinese healthcare sector.
