Sanok Historical Museum receives IPN Republicae Memoriae Meritum medal

The Historical Museum in Sanok has been awarded the ‘Republicae Memoriae Meritum’ medal by the Institute of National Remembrance (IPN). The distinction recognizes the institution for its significant contributions to commemorating the history of the Polish Nation and disseminating knowledge about Poland's past.

During a ceremony in Rzeszów, the museum's director, Dr. Jarosław Serafin, accepted the award. The recognition highlights the museum's long-standing scientific and educational initiatives, as well as its ongoing cooperation with the IPN branch in Rzeszów. The museum also acknowledged historian Andrzej Romaniak for his 26 years of work in developing relations with the Institute.
