Sanremo 2026: Competition Rules and YouTube Video Rankings Released

The Sanremo Music Festival’s 2026 “Area Sanremo” competition has published its full regulations. Registrations open on 17 August and close at 18:00 on 15 October. Participation is free, but each applicant must pay a €150 administrative fee to the Fondazione Orchestra Sinfonica di Sanremo. Eligible artists must be aged 16‑29 on 1 January 2027, have never competed in the “Big” or “Campioni” categories, and must not have taken part in any Sanremo Giovani selection. Entries must be original Italian‑language songs not exceeding three minutes.

A separate YouTube analysis released after 22 weeks of the festival shows the most‑watched videos. Sal Da Vinci’s “Per sempre sì” leads with roughly 35.4 million views, followed by Sayf’s “Tu mi piaci tanto” (23.4 million) and Samurai Jay’s “Ossessione” (17.3 million). The ranking provides a detailed view of audience engagement across the contest’s finalists.
