Stefano De Martino sets Sanremo 2027 dates for Feb 16‑20

Stefano De Martino, the newly appointed presenter and artistic director of the Festival di Sanremo, announced that the 77th edition will be broadcast from 16 to 20 February 2027. The confirmation was posted on his Instagram account, accompanied by Vasco Rossi’s “Vita spericolata” as the background music.

De Martino is working with Prime‑Time Entertainment director Williams De Liberatore to organise the event. While the dates are official, several unconfirmed proposals are circulating: a separate “Eurovision night” to select Italy’s Eurovision entry, a possible reduction in the number of competing artists, more elaborate staging, and a reshuffle of the traditional cover‑song evening. Rumours also mention potential co‑hosts such as Maria De Filippi and hints of a hidden clue in the announcement video, but none of these ideas have been confirmed by RAI.

The announcements mark the start of the organisational phase for Sanremo 2027, an event that remains a focal point of Italian popular culture.
