Sanremo and Iglesias implement urban redevelopment and traffic changes

In Sanremo, local authorities are developing new traffic regulations for the Pigna area, including via Tapoletti, Piazza San Costanzo, and Giardini Regina Elena. These measures are part of the Pnrr-Pinqua urban redevelopment project. The plan aims to establish a stable traffic flow and prevent vehicle damage to newly renovated areas. Proposed solutions include creating sufficient resident parking and implementing automated camera enforcement for a limited traffic zone (ZTL). Access will remain available for residents, persons with disabilities, and authorized loading/unloading vehicles.

In Iglesias, the new Piazza Dante has been inaugurated in the Serra Perdosa district. While residents noted improvements in lighting and security, some have expressed concerns regarding the lack of green spaces, shade, and sufficient parking. Local officials stated that parking has been relocated behind residential buildings and that additional greenery may be added as existing plantings mature.
