Sanremo Giovani final rescheduled to December 11

The final for the Sanremo Giovani competition has been rescheduled to December 11, 2026. The event, which will be broadcast live on Rai1 from the Teatro del Casinò di Sanremo, takes place one week earlier than the previously planned date of December 18.

Stefano De Martino will serve as the artistic director and host for the 2027 edition of the Sanremo Music Festival. During this televised event, six young artists will compete for the final available spot in the main competition category, which will consist of 24 total proposals. The finalists will be selected from the Sanremo Giovani selections and the Area Sanremo 2026 contest. A musical commission, chaired by De Martino and assisted by Claudio Fasulo, will determine the winner based on artistic and editorial criteria.
