Sanremo tourist tax exemption delayed until 2028

The proposed exemption from tourist taxes for Rai workers and record labels participating in the Sanremo Music Festival has likely been delayed until the 2028 edition. During a recent meeting of the Tourism Table at Palazzo Bellevue, officials determined that implementing the relief by 2027 is unfeasible due to bureaucratic complexity and a legal deadline of October 31 for municipal tax interventions.

Tourism Councilor Alessandro Sindoni stated that the process has officially begun, requiring rigorous legal and accounting verifications. The path to amending the regulations involves three key steps: obtaining a technical opinion from the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), reviewing the proposal through the relevant council commission, and receiving final approval from the City Council.
