Sanremo Youth Sailing Competition Awards 36 Optimist Sailors

On 31 July 2026 the Capo Verde Cup, organized by the Circolo Velico Capo Verde in partnership with Yacht Club Sanremo, held a youth sailing race in Sanremo, Italy. A fleet of 36 children sailed Optimist dinghies under light wind and calm seas, completing two races. The event concluded with a prize ceremony where Emanuele Troccoli (CV Ventimigliese) took first place, followed by Riccardo Di Michele and Tommaso Gervasi, all members of the Lega Navale di Sanremo.

Organisers thanked participants, volunteers, and the regatta committee, and announced the next edition of the Cup for 29 August, featuring the historic Trofeo Marco Alvise TUA and Giorgio Orlando sailing race.
