Sanrio characters launch new merchandise collaborations in Japan

Sanrio characters are featured in several new merchandise releases in Japan. The fashion retailer Honeys has launched the second installment of its ‘Select MY COLOR’ collaboration series, available exclusively through its official online shop as of September 4, 2026. The collection includes ribbon charms, socks, and a restock of popular carry-on totes, featuring characters such as Hello Kitty, My Melody, Cinnamoroll, and Kuromi in various color-coordinated designs.

Additionally, Bandai will release ‘Sanrio Characters Mejirushi Accessory Halloween!’ Gashapon capsule toys starting in the second week of September. This collection features six characters—Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi, Pompompurin, Pochacco, and Hangyodon—in Halloween-themed costumes. The accessories are priced at 300 yen per play.
