Sanrio to release new jellyfish and donut-themed plush mascots

Sanrio has announced the release of two new plush mascot series: the ‘Yurayura Jellyfish Munyugurumi Mascot’ and the ‘Pukapuka Donut Munyugurumi Mascot’. Reservations for these items will begin on September 4 via the Munyugurumi Patio official EC site, with shipping expected around late October.

The jellyfish-themed collection features eight characters, including Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll, Pompompurin, Hangyodon, Pekkle, and Cogimyun. Each mascot is priced at 2,640 yen. The donut-themed collection also includes eight characters, adding Gudetama to the lineup of Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll, Pompompurin, Hangyodon, and Pekkle, priced at 2,420 yen each.

This announcement follows the results of the 2026 Sanrio Character Ranking, where Pompompurin secured first place for the fifth time, receiving over 7 million votes. Cinnamoroll placed second, followed by Pochacco, Kuromi, and Hello Kitty.
