Sansho Pharmaceutical hosts UV protection seminar for Yokohama F. Marinos academy
Sansho Pharmaceutical, an official partner of the J-League club Yokohama F. Marinos, conducted its third annual UV protection seminar for academy players. The 2026 session focused on primary academy players in the 4th and 5th grades, involving 37 players and 32 parents.
A pre-seminar survey of 26 players revealed that 58% did not use sunscreen and 85% performed little to no skin care after sun exposure. The seminar utilized a quiz-based format to engage students, explaining how proper UV protection can help mitigate fatigue and potentially maintain or improve athletic performance.
The practical portion of the workshop included hands-on experience applying sunscreen to both faces and arms. Participants also received guidance on dietary habits related to skin health and proper application techniques for areas such as the neck and behind the ears.
