Sant Cugat launches 'Impuls Femení' employment initiative for women

The Municipal Employment Service (SOM) of Sant Cugat has announced the 'Impuls Femení' occupational day, an initiative designed to connect female job seekers with local companies. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, October 14, from 9:00 to 14:00 at the Sala Clavé in Teatre La Unió.

The program aims to facilitate direct contact through individual meetings, allowing candidates to present their professional profiles to companies with active hiring needs. To ensure effectiveness, the organization Sant Cugat Feina will manage the individual meeting agendas. Participation in the event requires mandatory attendance at informative workshops held throughout September and October, which focus on refining professional profiles.

Bernat Picornell, the Deputy Mayor for Employment, noted that women remain one of the groups most affected by difficulties in accessing and remaining in the labor market. He emphasized that despite recent progress, active employment policies with a gender perspective are necessary to address existing inequalities and create real hiring opportunities.
