Sant Pere de Ribes hosts inaugural Seniors' Fair

The first edition of the Fira de les Grans Persones (Seniors' Fair) took place on October 24 in the Roquetes neighborhood of Sant Pere de Ribes. Approximately 500 people attended the event, which was held on Roger de Flor Street and at the local Casal de les Persones Grans after being previously postponed due to rain.

The fair aimed to promote active, healthy, and autonomous aging by connecting local seniors with available resources, services, and tools for personal growth and well-being. The program featured a variety of activities, including musical performances, dances, talks, craft workshops, musical bingo, sardanas, tai chi, and a chocolate tasting.

The event was part of the ‘Octubre Gran’ programming organized by the Garraf Council for Seniors and the ‘Mes de les Persones Grans’ promoted by the Sant Pere de Ribes City Council. Numerous local organizations participated, including the Red Cross, the Garraf Comarcal Council, and various senior associations and foundations.
