Sant Roc festivities in Tarragona feature castells and local tribute

The Sant Roc festivities in the Cós del Bou neighborhood of Tarragona featured significant cultural displays, including traditional human tower (castells) performances and a new community tribute.

The Cós del Bou group performed several high-level towers during the Sant Roc celebration, including a successful 4d8a and a 7-story tower with folre. These performances serve as preparation for the upcoming Sant Magí festivities.

Additionally, the Sant Roc procession introduced a new dwarf figure named ‘Fervi’ to honor local resident and photographer Josep Ferrer. Created by sculptor Àngels Cantos, the figure serves as a tribute to Ferrer’s decades of documenting the social life of the neighborhood.
