Santa Ana man dies after electric shock near street light
A 30-year-old man, identified as Juan Carlos Pedrozo, died after receiving an electric shock near a street lighting pole in a plaza in the Ciudad del Este neighborhood of Santa Ana, Misiones.
Authorities are investigating whether the electrical installation had been tampered with. During initial inspections, investigators found a pair of pliers near the pole and discovered that the ground conductor had been cut.
Electricidad de Misiones has preemptively cut the power supply in the area to ensure safety while technical experts conduct their analysis. A judicial autopsy has been ordered to determine the exact point of electrical entry and its path through the body.
