Santa Anita horse racing picks for September 26

Expert handicapper Steve Andersen has provided analysis and picks for the Santa Anita racing card on Saturday, September 26.

His top selection for the day is Zuzu’s Classic Gal in the tenth race. The five-year-old mare is expected to benefit from returning to a turf sprint distance of six furlongs following a fourth-place finish at a mile last month. Other notable contenders in the tenth race include Training Good and Acclaim Perfection, the latter being trained by John Sadler.

In the first race, a $50,000 claiming race for statebreds, Dr. Filkins and Doing Time are identified as competitors despite previous difficult trips at Del Mar.
