Santa Barbara Jazz Trio Performs at Montenegro's Tivat Music Festival

A jazz trio from the University of California, Santa Barbara—drummer Jonathan Neitan, pianist Megan Mecel and bassist Liam Ronark—performed at the Tivat Music Festival in the Luštica Bay amphitheater. The concert honored the centennial of Miles Davis, featuring pieces such as "All Blues" and "Seven Steps to Heaven," and the musicians praised the supportive audience and the scenic venue.

Later the same trio appeared under the open sky of Durmitor as part of the Wild Beauty Art festival, delivering an improvised set that drew enthusiastic applause. Neitan highlighted the magical setting of the meadow and mountains, while the audience responded with warm reception. Both events showcased American contemporary jazz in a Balkan context, emphasizing cultural exchange and the universal language of music.
