Santa Casa de Campo Grande to receive R$ 4 million emergency funding

The Municipal Health Secretariat (Sesau) has announced that R$ 4 million will be transferred to the Santa Casa de Campo Grande within 15 days. This funding includes R$ 3 million from the State Government and R$ 1 million from the City Hall.

The emergency measure follows a mass resignation of doctors due to four months of unpaid salaries, which resulted in the closure of the hospital’s pediatric cardiac surgery unit. The funds are intended for the purchase of supplies to mitigate further impacts on public health services. A technical task force has been established to monitor the situation and support the institution.
