Brazil administrative and legal updates: TCE-SC suspends bidding

Various administrative, legal, and employment developments are occurring across Brazil. In Santa Catarina, the Tribunal de Contas (TCE/SC) has issued guidance to municipalities regarding the submission of sanitation data to the National Basic Sanitation Information System (Sinisa) to support public policy and investment planning.

In the same state, the TCE/SC suspended a R$ 3.8 million electronic bidding process by Cisamrec for necropsy services in southern Santa Catarina. The suspension follows allegations of irregularities that could restrict competition, such as excessive technical requirements and the need for local physical infrastructure.

Additionally, the judiciary in Santa Catarina has ordered urgent preventive works on a bridge in Timbó to mitigate erosion risks caused by climate change. In the labor sector, several public recruitment processes and selection cycles have been announced, including a large-scale health sector competition offering over 5,000 vacancies, a Celesc distribution recruitment for various levels, and expanded call-ups for technology analysts at SERPRO.

In Paraíba, the TCE-PB is scheduled to judge the accounts of 19 municipalities alongside processes related to education and public security.
