Santa Catarina Canta music festival begins qualifying rounds

The third edition of the Santa Catarina Canta – Brazilian Music Festival 2026 has begun its qualifying stages. Artists from the Rio do Sul region are competing for spots in the grand final.

Representatives from the Vale do Itajaí region are scheduled to perform in Blumenau on Sunday, May 16. Competitors include Marina and Raiana Milena in the Youth category, and Daniela Soares, Isabela Sema, Zonildo Full, Rafaela Correa, and Silvia Bozio in the General category.

The festival, organized by the Government of Santa Catarina in partnership with the Fundação Catarinense de Cultura and Camerata Florianópolis, aims to discover and promote local musical talent. The final is expected to take place in November at the Trapiche da Beira-Mar Norte in Florianópolis, where finalists will be accompanied by the Camerata Florianópolis orchestra.
