Santa Catarina expands hospital ICU and preschool facilities

The municipality of Joaçaba approved a R$174,890 investment to renovate and make the Rosa Branco early‑education centre accessible. The contract awarded to Estratta Construções Ltda. includes new pedestrian access, safety upgrades and functional improvements, with work to start within a week and finish in five months.

Governor Jorginho Mello inaugurated the expanded emergency department and intensive‑care unit at the Hospital Regional do Oeste in Chapecó. The upgrades increase the hospital’s capacity to serve Chapecó and dozens of surrounding municipalities in the western part of the state, and were attended by state health officials and local authorities.
