Santa Catarina government awards R$ 72.2 million road bypass contract
The Government of Santa Catarina has selected Viga Pavimentação e Obras to execute the first segment of the bypass road connecting Joaçaba, Herval d’Oeste, and Luzerna. The project, funded by the State Secretariat of Infrastructure and Mobility (SIE), involves an investment of over R$ 72.2 million.
This initial 9.9 km stretch will link the BR-282 highway to the Duas Casas community. The infrastructure works include the construction of a new cloverleaf interchange at the BR-282 junction, an intersection near the Unoesc Joaçaba campus II, a 47-meter bridge, shoulders, drainage systems, and slope containment works.
The bypass is designed to provide an alternative route to the urban areas of the three municipalities, aiming to improve regional mobility, reduce travel times, and facilitate the flow of local production.
