Santa Catarina Health Secretary conducts regional hospital inspections

Santa Catarina State Secretary of Health, Diogo Demarchi, conducted a series of technical visits to hospitals and health institutions across the Serra Catarinense region. The inspections included facilities in São Joaquim, Urubici, Urupema, Bocaina do Sul, Correia Pinto, and Otacílio Costa.

During the visits, Demarchi evaluated the implementation of state health policies and discussed local demands with hospital directors and municipal authorities. Key developments noted include the expansion of the Sagrado Coração de Jesus Hospital in São Joaquim, which increased its surgical capacity, and the upcoming reopening of the São José Hospital in Bocaina do Sul, which is set to provide 14 mental health beds.
