Santa Catarina launches illustrated public finance guide

The Santa Catarina State Finance Secretariat (SEF/SC) has launched ‘Balanço Cidadão 2025’, an illustrated publication designed to simplify complex public finance concepts for the general population.

Developed by State Public Finance Auditors and represented by the Union of State Public Finance Auditors of Santa Catarina (SINDAF-SC), the material uses characters, dialogues, and everyday situations to explain how tax revenue is converted into public services such as schools, hospitals, roads, and security. The initiative aims to provide an educational approach to help citizens, particularly students, understand state finances and how public resources are managed and monitored.
