Santa Catarina military firefighters receive new recruits
The Military Firefighters Corps of Santa Catarina has deployed new personnel to several municipalities to strengthen emergency response capabilities.
In the Brusque region, 29 new soldiers have been assigned to the stations in Brusque, Guabiruba, and Botuverá. These recruits recently completed four months of training in Blumenau, covering disciplines such as pre-hospital care, vehicle rescue, and urban firefighting, as well as operational resistance training. This deployment is part of a larger initiative where 653 new soldiers were recently trained across the state, coinciding with the 100th anniversary of the Santa Catarina Military Firefighters Corps.
In Canelinha, the local fire station received 10 new military firefighters. This reinforcement follows the establishment of the Canelinha headquarters just over a year ago. Local officials noted that the increase in personnel, combined with the upcoming arrival of a new fire truck, will significantly expand the municipality's capacity to serve the population.
