Santa Catarina municipalities extend job contest deadlines and open new public sector positions

The municipality of Timbó in the Vale do Itajaí announced an extension of its public service contest, moving the application deadline to 2 August 2026. The competition, organized by the Fundação Universidade Regional de Blumenau (FURB), offers 133 immediate vacancies across alphabetized, fundamental, medium, technical and higher‑education levels, with salaries ranging from R$ 2,011.94 to R$ 7,247.87 and an efficiency bonus of up to R$ 700.48. Applications must be submitted through the official concurso website.

The Associação dos Municípios do Alto Vale do Itajaí (AMAVI) also released a selection process for four professional positions, with salaries up to R$ 7,191. Candidates with degrees in Social Service, Economics, Administration, Tourism or related technical fields may apply. The hiring period runs from 31 July to 16 August 2026, with application fees of R$ 120 or R$ 80 depending on the role, and benefits that include health‑plan coverage and meal allowances.
