Santa Catarina youth football sees cup matches start and school games champion crowned
The Santa Catarina Football Federation (FCF) will conclude the first phase of the Copa Santa Catarina Sub‑13 and Sub‑14 on Saturday 4 July. Six matches in each age group will be played simultaneously at venues in Nova Veneza, Palhoça, Blumenau, Joinville and Brusque. The seventh round decides the 16 teams that advance to the second phase; groups A and B have already secured most spots, while group C will fill remaining places later.
In the municipal phase of the Jogos Escolares de Santa Catarina (Jesc) for 11‑13‑year‑olds, held in Jaraguá do Sul, Colégio Bom Jesus emerged as overall champion with 168 points, ahead of Colégio Evangélico Jaraguá (116) and Alfa Jangada (93). The competition involved 1,550 students from 33 schools competing in ten sports, with the winners moving on to micro‑regional, regional and ultimately the national Youth Games.
