Santa Clarita Arrests: Burglary/Vandalism Case and DUI Motorcycle Crash

Police in the Santa Clarita Valley arrested a 28‑year‑old man on felony burglary, vehicle theft and vandalism charges after he allegedly broke into his ex‑girlfriend’s home, stole her car, damaged it with a hammer and shattered a window. The suspect was taken into custody by the Sheriff’s Special Assignment Team and is being held without bail.

In a separate incident, California Highway Patrol officers detained 21‑year‑old Damian Rojas of Ventura on felony DUI causing injury after his black BMW struck a black Honda motorcycle on the northbound 5 Freeway near Parker Road in Castaic. The crash is under investigation and Rojas faces DUI charges.
