Spain police conduct widespread operations against drugs, theft, and fraud

Spanish law enforcement agencies have conducted a series of operations targeting various criminal activities across the country, including drug trafficking, theft, and fraud.

In major narcotics operations, the Guardia Civil dismantled several marijuana plantations in San Javier, Arens de Lledó, Sanlúcar de Barrameda, and Chipiona, seizing thousands of plants and significant quantities of drugs. In Santa Coloma de Gramenet, Mossos d'Esquadra arrested seven people following the discovery of methamphetamine and marijuana in a residence. Additionally, two individuals were intercepted in Solsona with cocaine.

Theft and property crimes were also addressed. In Zuares del Páramo, police recovered €30,000 worth of stolen goods. In Xàbia and Gernika, investigations targeted the theft of large quantities of telephone cabling. In Sant Cugat, police identified an opportunistic thief responsible for multiple residential burglaries. In Sevilla, three individuals were arrested after a vehicle was used to ram a bar during a robbery.

Financial crimes included a major fraud case in L'Escala, where a travel agency owner was arrested for allegedly defrauding over 400 victims of more than €2 million. Authorities also issued warnings regarding a new Bizum payment scam involving fraudulent refund requests.
