Santa Cruz advances literacy training through provincial education plans
The Provincial Council of Education (CPE) in Santa Cruz has advanced its literacy initiatives through several key training sessions. In the southern zone, the training phase of the 'Plan Provincial de Alfabetización Plen@' concluded with a final in-person meeting for early childhood educators in Río Gallegos. This session, titled ‘El desarrollo del lenguaje y el acceso a la alfabetización en el Nivel Inicial’, focused on language development for students in 4 and 5-year-old classrooms.
CPE Vice President Esther Pucheta emphasized that these training efforts aim to enrich pedagogical practices from preschool through secondary school. The program is designed to foster a desire to learn and encourages the active integration of families into the literacy process.
Additionally, in Caleta Olivia, the 4th Meeting of Directors for 'Escuelas Alfa en Red' was held as part of both national and provincial literacy plans. This meeting focused on strengthening institutional improvement plans through digital self-assessment tools and technical reflection on teaching practices to ensure continuous improvement in educational quality across the province.
