Santa Cruz and San Cristóbal announce major infrastructure and funding initiatives
In Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Mayor Manuel Saavedra has submitted two legislative proposals aimed at major road infrastructure improvements. The projects, which require a combined investment of approximately 300 million Bolivianos, seek national priority status. One proposal involves expanding Avenida Cristo Redentor to eight lanes between the eighth ring and Viru Viru International Airport, costing roughly 100 million Bolivianos. The second project proposes a 200 million Boliviano tunnel in the third ring near El Trompillo airport to improve urban mobility.
In Argentina, Senator Felipe Michlig and Deputy Marcelo González distributed 127 million pesos in institutional funds in San Cristóbal. The Huanqueros Commune received over 83 million pesos for the acquisition of a truck, a tractor, and a brush cutter through the Minor Works Fund. Additionally, 44.46 million pesos were allocated to various institutions in San Cristóbal for infrastructure, sports, and cultural activities.
