Santa Cruz celebrates regional excellence and cultural achievements

In commemoration of the 216th anniversary of Santa Cruz, Bolivia, the Federación de Profesionales de Santa Cruz (FPSC) presented the “Premio Santa Cruz a la Excelencia Intelectual, Profesional y Empresarial.” The awards recognized individuals and institutions across academia, the public sector, business, and justice for their contributions to the department's development.

During the ceremony, FPSC President Miguel Sorich emphasized the importance of memory, identity, freedom, and belonging, noting that the recognition honors the years of dedication required to build a better Santa Cruz.

Additionally, the Cooperativa Rural de Electrificación (CRE) won the “Palmera Dorada” award in the “Cultural Experience” category at Expocruz 2026. The award was presented for the musical production “Amanecer,” a Broadway-style performance featuring professional actors and a live orchestra that depicted the role of electrical service in the economic and cultural growth of the region. This marks the third consecutive year CRE has received this distinction.
