Santa Cruz de La Palma develops Quinta Verde botanical park

The City Council of Santa Cruz de La Palma is progressing with accessibility works at Quinta Verde to transform the site into a future botanical park. Mayor Asier Antona recently conducted a technical visit to inspect the construction progress alongside artist Luis Morera and the technical team.

A primary component of the project involves installing an elevator to ensure access to the Quinta Verde manor house. This infrastructure requires a shaft approximately 16 meters high to overcome the terrain's elevation changes. The works are being executed by Dragados and are expected to be completed within seven months.

Once the accessibility works are finished, the council plans to restore the original terraces to protect and enhance the historical elements of the space. The project aims to combine heritage conservation with environmental recovery, creating a green lung for the city that serves as a cultural and natural landmark.
