Santa Cruz de Tenerife announces roadworks and bus route changes

Santa Cruz de Tenerife is initiating several urban improvement projects starting September 1, which will impact local mobility and public transport.

In the La Salud neighborhood, accessibility works on Calle Güímar will affect bus lines 904, 906, and 911. These works are part of a 5.3 million euro investment aimed at modernizing the area and improving connectivity between Calle Cornisa and Calle Güímar. Specific bus stops will be temporarily suspended, with alternative stops provided.

Additionally, the city will begin resurfacing Avenida Benito Pérez Armas as part of the 'Impulso Urbano' plan. This 494,000 euro project will be carried out in four phases during nighttime hours (20:00 to 06:00) to minimize daytime disruption. The works will involve traffic cuts and temporary changes to the routes of several bus lines, including 232, 903, 906, 908, 915, 923, 936, 974, and 975.
