Santa Cruz de Tenerife hosts Plenilunio cultural festival
The Plenilunio festival is transforming Santa Cruz de Tenerife into a cultural hub for families and music this weekend. The event features over one hundred activities across twenty different locations in the capital, including creative workshops, play areas, live music, and parades.
Mayor José Manuel Bermúdez noted that the programming is designed for all ages, specifically targeting families and youth. A highlight of the festival is the ‘Los 4 Elementos’ drone show, which will feature 500 synchronized drones performing a 13-minute choreographed display over the coastline. The show will take place on Friday, October 2, with two sessions scheduled at 20:30 and 22:00 along the Avenida Marítima.
In addition to the aerial spectacle, the festival includes ‘Elemento Aire’ workshops on Saturday morning in the Rambla de Santa Cruz, where participants can create kites and wind mobiles. Local officials emphasize that the event serves as a socioeconomic driver for the city by stimulating local commerce, dining, and hospitality.
