Santa Cruz de Tenerife implements urban cleaning and road works

Santa Cruz de Tenerife is implementing several urban improvement measures. The municipal government has approved a contract modification with Valoriza to strengthen cleaning services. This plan includes tripling the number of cleaning shifts from three to nine per week and increasing interventions in ravines to improve drainage and reduce flood risks. The city will allocate over one million euros for extraordinary cleaning campaigns between 2026 and 2027.

Additionally, the city is advancing its 'Impulso Urbano' program, which focuses on road rehabilitation. During July and August, more than 20 streets and a parking area underwent resurfacing, representing an investment of over two million euros. This program is part of a larger long-term plan with a total budget of 100 million euros intended to transform municipal public spaces through 2030.

In terms of mobility, the city has announced temporary traffic disruptions on Calle Galcerán and Calle Miraflores to facilitate the construction of a 60-unit housing block.
