Santa Cruz de Tenerife police seize shotguns and ammunition
Local police in Santa Cruz de Tenerife seized four shotguns and 523 cartridges from a residence in the El Toscal neighborhood. The intervention occurred after emergency services responded to a medical call for a 65-year-old man found on the floor, unable to move.
During the medical assistance, a health emergency technician alerted officers to the presence of firearms and ammunition in one of the rooms. The weapons, which were found on a bed without proper safety measures, were identified as 12-gauge shotguns from the brands Schilling, Grulla, Herstal, and LIG.
Because the resident was disoriented and unable to provide documentation, permits, or ownership information for the weapons, the police confiscated them. The firearms and ammunition will be handed over to the specialized services of the Guardia Civil for further investigation.
