Santa Cruz de Tenerife restores water supply after network failure

Water supply has been restored in Santa Cruz de Tenerife following a major breakdown in the main distribution network. The incident affected approximately 8,000 residents in areas including the streets of Juan de Mattos, Azofra, Tío Pino, Isidoro Luz Carpenter, Jesús Hernández Guzmán, Carretera de Hoya Fría, Gandhi, and Aridane.

Technical teams from Emmasa worked through the night to repair the damage. Service was restored to 86% of the affected areas by 2:00 AM, with the remaining sections, such as Juan de Mattos and Azofra, returning to normal by approximately 2:40 PM. Local authorities have confirmed that service is currently normalized while teams complete final interventions to ensure network stability.
