Bolivia police conduct weapons arrests and fuel seizures
Bolivian authorities have conducted several law enforcement operations across different regions. In Santa Cruz, the Special Force to Fight Crime (FELCC) arrested four individuals following a vehicle inspection and a subsequent raid. Police seized firearms, ammunition, and components used for modifying weapons.
In the Sucre and Potosí regions, police intercepted 70 liters of fuel being transported illegally as a package shipment destined for Camargo. The cargo was seized and handed over to the National Hydrocarbons Agency (ANH).
In La Paz, the Departmental Prosecutor's Office, with assistance from the Institute of Forensic Investigations (IDIF), returned the remains of six military personnel to their families. The remains were identified through genetic testing following a major explosion at the ‘Bolívar’ Mechanized Artillery Regiment in Viacha on September 4.
Additionally, in the Chulumani municipality, a 25-year-old woman was apprehended after reporting the death of her seven-month-old daughter. Preliminary medical assessments suggest the infant died of asphyxiation, and authorities are investigating whether the death was accidental or criminal.
